Disgaea: Hour of Darkness is the first title in the Disgaea series and tells the story of the narcissistic young demon, Laharl. He has vowed to reclaim his father’s throne, and he and several companions set out to win the title of Overlord of the Netherworld. Fans of tactical RPGS will recognize the game’s battle mechanics, which take place on a grid-based map. Players control a ten-member team composed of characters and monsters, which fall into a wide range of classes with different aptitudes and skills. The game places focus on grinding in order to improve character and item stats, leading easily to hours of gameplay and a whole lot of fun.
